Join a community garden co-op or hit the Outdoor Farmers Market at the Fairhope Library
Fairhope offers two community gardens with applications available to any city resident. Plots are $30 per year and available at both Homestead Village and on Summit Street between Morphy and St. James. The local Food Production Initiative offers applications, rules and guidelines, resources on what’s growing where and when and topics like beekeeping 101 if farm life truly fits your fancy.
The Outdoor Farmers Market runs May 4th to November 2nd each Thursday from 3-6pm behind the Fairhope Library. Not to be missed – you’ll find cut flowers, baked goods, honey, soaps, candles and produce from folks who grow and pick it fresh. Ride over on one of our Fairhope bikes! Baskets on the front are market-purchase ready.
