Each summer, dozens of small sailboats dot the waters looking like tiny bathtubs in one of Fairhope Yacht Club’s best traditions. The children’s clinic – in the beginner Opti’s – is just one of the sailing programs offered nearly year-round at the club that’s been the mainstay of Eastern Shore sailing since 1942. Opti’s and later Lasers and 420s lead to a thriving juniors program competing in regattas around the South. Whether beginner or just rusty – check out the sailing classes offered each summer at FYC.
